So you are walking around town and seeing Christmassy things happening?
Is it really that time again? Where has this year gone?
Today we are going rogue and talking about:
What to buy for Christmas?
I thought this week I would keep it simple.
Here are some of my most highly recommended books that would be gorgeous gifts for Christmas:
Tuesdays with Morrie – by Mitch Albom This one is the story that influenced me to create these wednesday emails. It is a story about an elderly professor and one of his students who meet eack week to talk about lessons about life. It is a beautiful and true story that has been one of my favourite books for decades.
The Happiest Man on Earth – Eddie Jaku Despite being a story of this man’s journey through the Holocaust, It is a beautifully written book about Eddie’s journey to find happiness within himself beyond what was, an unimaginable experience.
The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck – Mark Manson This is a great book about basically not sweating the small stuff. One of the ideas I liked was that over the course of our lives we basically only have a certain amount of fucks to give so you need to decide what to give a fuck about.
The Invisible String – Patrice Karst This one is a beautiful book for adults and kids. It talks about how we are all connected by love through our invisible strings that reach all over the world and even up to the places where our ancestors have gone.
Wishing an easeful move into December.
You keep asking and each Wednesday, I will answer.
Warmly on Wednesday,
Mel
